Micromax Launches Intel-powered Canvas Tab P666 Android Tablet

Micromax launched a new 8-inch Android tablet dubbed the Canvas Tab P666 in India. The tablet is designed with a glass finish and metal edges for a premium look. This is the first tablet from Micromax to pack an Intel Chipset.

Coming to the specs, the Canvas Tab P666 sports a 8-inch IPS display with a WXGA (1200x800 pixels) resolution. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Processor Z2520 paired with 1GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage [expandable to 32GB via micro SDcard]. The tablet runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Camera features include 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera that can record full-HD (1080p) videos and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. The Tablet is 3G-enabled for data, but doesn't support voice calling. It  is powered by a 4400mAh battery that delivers up to 325 hours of standby time.

It comes pre-loaded with apps such as M!Games [for online gaming], M!Live [to download unlimited content], Bookmyshow, Hike, SwiftKey, Dr. Safety, and Opera Mini etc.

The tablet will go on sale starting November 29 and is priced Rs 10,999. The Canvas Tab P666 will come in two colour variants - Black and White.
