Android One Programme Expands To Sri Lanka, Bangladesh And Nepal

Google announced that it is expanding it's Android One programme to other emerging mobile markets after India, namely, SriLanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Android One Programme from Google was announced in June as a way for Google to provide a high-quality Android experience on entry level handsets. The first three Android One handsets were manufatured by Micromax, Karbonn, and Spice in India. [Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO]

The same three devices that were on sale in India [Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO], will be sold in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh markets as well.

The Android One devices run stock Android with Google taking care of the updates.The handset comes with similar specifications. The Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO all have a 4.5-inch screen, a quad-core Mediatek SoC, a micro SD slot, and dual-SIM functionality.
