Google Global trends 2014: Robin Williams, Ebola Outbreak and World Cup tops Search List

Google has released its Year of Search 2014 Global statistics, which  includes top trends from across the world. 

The overall search trends include some of the most shocking and exciting news events of the year: The death of Robin Williams, the Ebola outbreak, the Malaysia Airlines disasters, and the World Cup. The only tech focused term to make it to the top 10 overall search was Flappy Bird.

Apple iPhone 6 dominates the top consumer electronics Google search of 2014 with Samsung Galaxy S5 in second and Google nexus 6 in third place. The iPhone 6 Plus -- Apple's first phablet -- also made it into the top 10 trending YouTube videos of the year, unfortunately it was for the bend test.
