Google Nexus 9 now available via Amazon in India

HTC and Google has launched the Nexus 9 in India. Launched exclusively on Amazon India the Nexus 9 16GB Wi-Fi only variant is currently on sale for Rs. 28,900. The tablet is available in Indigo Black Colour variant.

Amazon India is also offering a gift card of worth Rs. 2,000 for shopping on its website with every purchase of Nexus 9 tablet.


Coming to the specs, the Nexus 9 features an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with QXGA (2048x1536 pixels) with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor coupled with Kepler GPU paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet is shipped with Android Lollipop 5.0

Camera features include an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera and 1.6-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth. The tablet is backed by a 6700mAh battery

The tablet also features dual front-facing speakers with HTC's Boomsound and dual microphones.

There is no word on when the tablet will be available via Google Play Store or when the LTE version of the Nexus 9 will be available in Indian market.
