Google releases Android 5.0.1, Factory Images Start Rolling Out
Google has released a minor upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop, dubbed Android 5.0.1, in Android Open Source Project [AOSP] with build number LRX22C. The update is most likely to include bug-fixes and issues reported by Android Lollipop users.
Additionally the company published factory images of Android 5.0.1 for Wi-Fi only Nexus tablets. [Nexus 9,Nexus 7 (2013), and Nexus 10]. There is no word of the exact date for OTA roll-out of Android 5.0.1.
After Android 5.0 was released, Nexus devices were plagued with error and bugs. Some of the bugs reported by users include Wi-Fi connection problems and an app switcher bug. Another bug caused the 'silent mode' to disappear from some phones, and a flashlight bug were also reported to affecting Nexus Devices. Two new bugs were reported last week - broken manual account sync button in settings, and frequent restart of apps in the background.
The release of new 5.0.1 update is likely to fix all the above mentioned bugs in the Nexus devices.
