Huawei Honor 6 Plus with 5.5-inch full HD display launched in China

At a special event in Beijing, Huawei launched a larger version of its flagship Honor 6 smarphone, the Honor 6 Plus in China. The handset gets launched under the slogan,”Not Just Bigger“, which is an obvious take on the iPhone 6 Plus.

The Huawei Honor 6 Plus features 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display and is powered by an octa-core Kirin 925 processor, accompanied by a low-power I3 co-processor, a Mali T628 MP4 GPU paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card upto 128GB and 100GB of free cloud storage. The Honor 6 Plus runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Emotion 3.0 UI on top.

Camera features include dual 8-megapixel rear camera sensors which the company calls "symmetrical dual camera technology". The rear camera sensors can capture twice the light compared to a single sensor  and use SLR-grade ISP technology to let you refocus the captured images and adjust aperture from f/0.95 to f/16. In the front there is also an 8-megapixel camera.

Other features include G LTE Cat. 6 connectivity, an IR blaster and 3600mAh battery

The dual SIM Honor 6 Plus will come in two variants - 3G and 4G. The 3G variant will be available for a price of CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,500 $320) and the 4G version will sell for CNY 2499 ($400). There is no details for the global availability of the handset.
