Samsung Galaxy S6 tipped for CES 2015 Launch

According to a report from Mirae Asset Securities (MAS), Samsung's next flagship - Galaxy S6 will be unveiled early next year at CES in Las Vegas.

Samsung is also expected to launch the curved screen variant of the Galaxy S6 just like the Galaxy Note 4 edge. Reports also indicate that the Galaxy S6 will sport a 'half-metal' body.

The report also cited some analysts predicting that Samsung will ship 45 million Galaxy S6 units through 2015, of which 10 million units are expected to be of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Recently the specification of the Galaxy S6 have leaked via benchmark website AnTuTu. According to the benchmark site he Galaxy S6 is expected to feature 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display and powered 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 32 GB intenal storage. Camera features include 20-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The Galaxy S6 will run the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

An early launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 would overshadow the launch of other flagship devices from LG, Sony, HTC, to name a few. 

Samsung Electronics CEO B.K. Yoon is expected to give a keynote speech at CES, and will likely talk about smart homes.

Samsung is also expected to launch  Tizen TV and home entertainment system at CES 2015. 

The CES event is not known for its mobile announcement. So, take this news with a pinch of salt [The Galaxy S6 part]
