BlackBerry Classic Launched In India For Rs. 31,990

Canadian smartphone manufacturer BlacBerry launched the BlackBerry Classic in India. The BlackBerry Classic features a classic Qwerty keyboard, similar to the still-popular Bold 9900, the first of which was released in 2008. It features the same square design, the same set of keys and trackpad below, and the full QWERTY keypad. The BlackBerry Classic is meant to appeal to loyal business customers. ​​

The handset features a 3.5-inch touch-screen display made of corning Gorilla Glass with a backlit QWERTY keyboard. The handset will be powered by a 1.5GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage [microSD card support upto 128GB]. The handset runs BlackBerry 10.3 OS and supports native Android apps via the Amazon Appstore.

Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity features include 3G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and NFC. The device is backed by 2515mAh which is said to last up to 22 hours. The handset is 13 centimeters tall and weighs 178 grams.

The BlackBerry Classic comes preloaded with BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Assistant, Dropbox, Adobe Reader, Evernote, BlackBerry Blend, BBM, BlackBerry World, Amazon Appstore, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, and YouTube.

The BlackBerry Classic will be available for purchase via Snapdeal and BlackBerry authorised dealers from Thursday and is priced at Rs. 31,990. The first 1000 customers at Snapdeal will receive and exclusive offer that gives buyback benefits up to Rs. 4,500 for BlackBerry Bold owners, and benefits of up to Rs. 10,000 from Yatra.com.
