Not All Lumia Smartphones Will Get Windows 10 Update

Microsoft announced that not every Lumia phone will be upgraded to Windows 10 or support all Windows 10 features as certain features and experience will requaire advanced future hardware. The company mentioned that they plan to bring Windows 10 to majority of the Lumia phone running Windows Phone 8 and 8.1.

Microsoft said that Windows 10 has been designed to run well on "today's Lumia phones". We can expect several handset to not qualify for the upgrade. A significant number of Windows Phone handset have received the Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 update, but their hardware don't qualify to support the minimum requirement from the Windows 10 upgrade.

The first few phones confirmed to receive the Windows 10 update when it becomes available are the budget friendly Lumia 435, the selfie happy Lumia 735 and the gorgeous gold-edition of Lumia 930.
