OnePlus Will Reveal Its New Custom Android ROM 'Oxygen' On February 12

OnePlus officially announed  a name for its cutom ROM labelled Oxygen OS and also said it was developing a seperate custom ROM for the China with country-specific changes dubbed H20S. Both the ROMs will be unveiled on February 12. 

There are no details, but Oneplus say that the ROM will be "open customisable an free of bloat and unnecessary features" dellvering a "bold, powerful, straight-forward experience." 

Regarding why OnePlus chose Oxygen as their Custom ROM name, the company said

“As an element, Oxygen is the epitome of simplicity, yet it’s also extraordinarily powerful. Oxygen is all around us. It’s part of us and everything we do. It creates the water that carves out valleys and moves mountains. By itself, it’s simple and pure – a fundamental building block. But, as a part of something greater, it can do amazing things. Just like us.”

It is not yet clear whether OxygenOS will replace Cyanogen OS on the OnePlus One completely and whether existing OnePlus handset will get the new update or not. We will get to know more details on February 12.
