Refreshed Xiaomi Redmi 2 With More Memory And Storage Confirmed By Company’s CEO

Yesterday, an upgraded edition of Redmi 2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage was spotted on TENAA listing. Today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in his Weibo account confirmed that, Xiaomi has upgraded Redmi 2 Phone with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Internal Storage Memory.

Apart from 2GB RAM and 16 GB Internal storgae, the rest of the features will be similar to that of the standard model of Redmi 2 which features 4.7-inch display, 64-bitSnapdragon 410 processor with 1280x720 resolution, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. The handset will run Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 6.0 UI on top.

There are no details on the availability and price of the upgraded Redmi 2. The original Redmi 2 was priced around Rs. 7000 so we can expect the upgrade edition to be priced higher than that.
