Samsung Galaxy J1 Entry-Level Smartphone Goes Official, Listed On Samsung Malaysia Website

The Samsung Galaxy J1 has finally gone official. The Galaxy J1 with model number SM-J100H is the first handset in the company's new Galaxy J series. 

The handset has officially been listed on Samsung's Malaysian website's product page. The page reveals all the specifications of the Galaxy J1, but fails to reveal the pricing and availability details. The device will be available in Black, Blue and White colour variants.

 The Samsung Galaxy J1 will feature 4.3-inch WVGA display with screen resolution of 800x480. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor (unspecified chip), paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage [microSD card support]. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera features inlcude 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera with palm Selfie gesture sensor that lets you capture a selfie by making a hand gesture

It includes the usual suite of connectivity options which include Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and GPS. The handset is backed by 1850mAh battery. An Ultra Power Saving Mode is also available to extend the battery usage. It measures 129 x 68.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 122 grams.
