HTC's First Wearable Codenamed 'Petra', To Run RTOS, Not Android Wear


HTC is expected to uveil a wearable device at MWC 2015 alongside HTC's flagship device. HTC will link up with American sports wear maker 'Under Armour'. The two companies announced its partnership earlier this month at CES 2015.

Now @upleaks have revealed specs of HTC's wearable device. The HTC wearable device will be codenamed Petra.

According to upleaks the device will feature 1.8 inch POLED display with 32x160 screen resolution. It will be powered by ST Micro STM32L151 chipset.

It will come in three sizes S/M/L and weighs 23 grams. HTC has not opted for the Android wear OS, instead the device will runs HTC's custom rom. It sports a battery that is rated to delive 3-days battery life.


It will support Bluetooth and GPS and features Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch, Music Control, Camera Shuttor, Sleep Analysis, Sports Analysis/ see today’s schedule, weather, your phone’s notification. It will also come with footpad that can count steps more accurate.

The device will be available in two color variants - teal and lime as well as black and blue-gray.
