LG announces global rollout of G Flex 2 curved smartphone, starts in March


LG announced the global rollout of its G Flex 2 smartphone which was unveiled at CES 2015. The hanset was first made available in South Korea last month and was priced KRW 800,000 (Rs. 45,000).

The company revealed that major carriers in France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and the US will be the first to offer LG G Flex 2 smartphone. It will also be launched in North America, South America, Europe and Asian market in the coming weeks. There is no word on pricing details.

The device is already up for pre-order in UK via Carphone Wearhouse with delivery expected by week commencing 16th March. It will go on sale in Singapore starting March 14 and made available in the US via Sprint on March 13.

The LG G Flex 2 is the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 powered smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD curved P-OLED display with 403ppi pixel density, 2GB LPDDR4 RAM and 16GB or 32GB storage variants [microSD card support],13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2.1-megapixel front camera, 4G LTE-A, NFC, GPS, USB 2.0 and 3000mAh non removable battery. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
