Micromax Canvas Xpress A99 Now Receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop Update, Coming Soon To More Micromax Devices

Micromax has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for to the Canvas Xpress A99 smartphone. The company also announced that it will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update to other Cavas series smartphones very soon.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop for Micromax Canvas Xpress A99 is being pushed OTA (over-the-air). Users will notified about the update on their device when connected to internet. Users can also manually check for the updates by going to Settings > About phone > software update.

Micromax has not yet released any change log for the update, but the company states that "the update will make the overall user experience" on the Canvas Xpress "more efficient and seamless".

Micromax Canvas Xpress was launched last year in December for Rs. 6,999. It features 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHZ Mediatek MTK6582V/X quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and Android 4.4 KitKat (when it was launched).

The handset is equipped with 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and VGA front facing camera. Other features include Dual-SIM support, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and FM radio. It is backed by 1950mAh battery.
