Samsung Galaxy J1 To Launch In India On February 11 via Amazon

 
The Samsung Galaxy J1 will launch in India on February 11 that is tommorow. The smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon starting tommorow and is priced at Rs. 7190 and will come bundled with launch day offers. The device is already listed on Sony Malaysia's website without its pricing details.

The announcement was made on Amaon India's twitter account and also stated that it the Galaxy J1 will be Amazon exclusive.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 is an entry level device. It features 4.3-inch PLS TFT display with screen resolution of 480x800 pixels. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor (unknow chip) paired with 512MV RAM and 4GB internal storage. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. 

The handset is equipped with 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. The front camera features palm Selfie gesture sensor that lets you capture a selfie by making a hand gesture.

Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and GPS. The handset is backed by 1850mAh battery. An Ultra Power Saving Mode is also available to extend the battery usage. It measures 129 x 68.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 122 grams. 

Given its price Rs. 7190, it will compete against Lenovo A6000 and Xiaomi Redmi 1s.
