Intex announces Aqua HD 5.0 and Aqua Y2 smartphones in India

Intex Mobile has listed two new smartphones on its website called the Aqua HD 5.0 and Aqua Y2. As per the listings the Intex Aqua HD 5.0 and Aqua Y2 are priced at Rs. 7,790 and Rs. 5,190 respectively. The Intex Aqua HD 5.0 is also listed in Flipkart website for Rs. 6,990.

The Intex Aqua HD 5.0 features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediTek (MT6582V) processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (can be expanded with up to 32GB microSD card). It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Camera features include 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel font facing camera. Connectivity features include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, and Micro-USB. It is backed by 2300mAh battery.

The Intex Y2 on the other hand dual-SIM handset that runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It features 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor paired with 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card ( up to 64GB supported).

Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB connectivity options. A 1400mAh battery runs the show on the Intex Y2 which delivers 11 hours of talk time and 235 hours of standby time on 2G networks.
