Lava has launched a new budget Android handset called Iris 444 in India. The Lava Iris 444 is now available via Flipkart for Rs. 3,199. In addition Lava's latest tablet offering NKS 101 has been listed on the company's website without revealing the availability and price.
The Lava Iris 444 is a dual-SIM handset that runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. It features 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT display and is powered by 1GHz single-core Cortex-A7 processor. The handset houses 256MB RAM, 512MB inbuilt storage and microSD card slot (supports up to 32GB).
Camera features include 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 0.3-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.
A 1400 mAh battery runs the show on Lava Iris 444 which is rated to deliver up to 12hrs of talktime on 2G networks. The handset measures 123x63.2x11mm, weighs 116 grams and is offered in dual-tone Black and Blue color options.
Lava's new tablet NKS 101 features 10.1-inch HD (1280x800 pixels) LCD multi-touch display and is powered by 1.6GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. It will be available in two storage options - 16GB or 32GB. It sports 2-megapixel rear and front facing camera. Connectivity options includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, HDMI and OTG. The tablet draws power from a massive 7600mAh battery.
