Sony Xperia J1 Compact Announced In Japan


Sony unveiled a new smartphone called Xperia J1 Compact for Japan. It is company's firstis the company’s first unlocked smartphone to launch in Japan.

The Sony Xperia J1 compct features 4.3-inch 720p display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) chipset with 2.2GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics. 

It packs 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. 

Camera features include 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS rear camera and 2.2-megapixel Exmor R front-facing camera. It is backed by 2300mAh battery and is IP58 certified for dust and water resistence. 

The Sony Xperia J1 measures 128mm × 65 mm × 9.7 mm and weighs 138 grams. 

Pre-orders for the Xperia J1 Compact will start on March 27, and the device will cost 54,800 yen + tax ($454 | Rs. 30,000).
