Xiaomi MiPad Launched in India for Rs. 12,999, available on Flipkart from March 24

Xiaomi has launched the long awaited budget Android tablet, the MiPad in India. The tablet is priced at Rs. 12,999 and will go on sale via Flipkart on March 24 without the need of registration. The MiPad made its debut in May last year.

The Xiaomi MiPad sports a 7.9-inch (2048x1536) display with 4:3 aspect ratio, manufactured by Sharp/AUO and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU.

It houses 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot (supports up to 128GB microSD card). It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI ROM on top.

Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with Sony BSI stacked sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. On the front there is a 5-megapixel camera.

Connectivity features include WiFi 802.11/b/g/n/ac Dual Band (2X2 MIMO) and  Bluetooth 4.0. The show is run by a 6700mAh battery.

The tablet measures 135.4x202.1x8.5mm, weighs 360 grams and will be available in White color.
