Xiaomi turns 5 on March 31, to unveil new products

On March 31, Xiaomi will turn 5. To celebrate its five year anniversary, the company on its forum announced that it will launch new MI products on March 31. 

Founded back in 2010 Xiaomi has managed to accomplish something that many couldn't achieve in a very short period of time. This year itself, Xiaomi has launched a slew of products that include smartphones, TVs, and accessories. In India, Xiaomi devices sell like hot cakes.

Xiaomi has already started teasing exciting product launches for the said date. On its weibo account the company has confirmed the launch of 2nd-gen Mi Pad. The tablet is rumored to feature 7.9-inch display, Intel processor clocked at 1.8Ghz, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI on top. 

The Mi Pad 2 will not be the only product to launch on the said date. The company might also announce a new entry-level Android smartphone and Redmi Note 2 alongside the company's first smartwatch.(unconfirmed)

There are no details on Xiaomi's smartwatch, but rumors suggest that it will offer a brushed-metal design and a circular display. It will come with blood pressure monitoring via pulse wave velocity recognition technology. The wearable device is expected to come with an affordable price tag offering high-end features.

We also might see a new Xiaomi mid-ranger. Yesterday a Xiaomi smartphone codenamed 'Ferrari' was listed on GFX Benchmark. The device feature 4.9-inch display, 64-bit octa-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front facing camera and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

There is also a entry-level device with $65 price tag. It features Leadcore-processor,1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage,8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera and supports 4G LTE networks. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Out of all the devices mentioned above only the launch of Mi Pad 2 is confirmed, rest of the devices are unconfirmed. Luckily we don't have to wait long to find out what surprises Xiaomi has in store four us, March 31 is less than a week away.
