ZTE Unveils Nubia Z9 Max And Nubia Z9 Mini in China
ZTE announced two new smartphones in the Nubia series called Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini at press event in Beijing, China.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max features 5.5-inch (1920x1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 2.0 GHzOcta-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC paired with 600 MHz Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM.
It houses 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot (up to 128GB supported). The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with nubia UI 2.8 on top.
Camera features include 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash ony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 6P lenses. The front facing camera sports 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX179 Exmor R BSI sensor and 80-degree wide viewing angle.
Connectivity features include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), GPS, MHL 3.0 and USB OTG. It is backed by 2900mAh battery.
The Nubia Z9 Mini, on the other hand is not really a mini phone. It features 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor which ships with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. It packs 2GB of RAM. Rest of the specs are same as the Nubia Z9 Max.
The Nubia Z9 Mini comes with swappable back covers in numerous textures and patterns, including wood and denim.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max is priced at CNY 2499 (Rs. 25,000 | $ 400) and will go on sale from April 16. The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini comes with a price tag of CNY 1499 (Rs. 15,000 | $240) and will go on sale April 2. Pre-orders for the Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 Mini are already up on nubia.cn in China. There is no details on global availability.
