HTC Desire 826 with 5.5-inch display launched in India for Rs. 25,990
Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has announced the launch of Desire 826, a mid-range smartphone for the Indian market. The smartphone was announced in January during CES 2015.
The HTC Desire 826 features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full HD display and is powered by a 64-but octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Adrena 405 GPU and paired with 2GB RAM.
The device comes 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs Android Lollipop 5.0 with HTC sense UI on top.
Camera features include a 13-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash and a 4-ultraPixel front camera. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB.
The Desire 826 is backed by 2600mAh battery. Other features include HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio enhancement and HTC's EYE experience. The thickness of the smartphone is 7.5mm and it weighs 155 grams.

The HTC Desire 826 is priced at Rs. 25,990 and will be available in two-tone colours including White Birch, Blue Lagoon, and Purple Fire.
At the said price the Desire 826 will comepete with OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi 4 and the newly launched Honor 6 Plus and Gionee Elife S7 in the mid-range market section.
