Lenovo A7000 with 'Dolby ATMOS' audio technology launched in India for Rs. 8,999
Lenovo has launched the A7000 smartphone in India for Rs. 8,999. The device was initially unveiled at MWC 2015 and is the successor to the company's popular 4G LTE enabled phone A6000.
The Lenovo A7000 will be available exclusively via Flipkart through flash sale starting from April 15. The registration for the flash sale will start today at 2pm. On the sale day users would have a 4-hour window to complete their transactions.
The Lenovo A7000 is a dual-SIM phone and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI on top. It features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) screen resolution. It is powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6572M processor.
The phone packs 2GB RAM and houses 8GB internal storage and microSD card slot to expand the storage capacity.
Camera features include 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include G/ LTE (FDD Band 1, 3, 7, 20; TDD Band 40), Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. The device is backed by 2900mAh battery.
The main highlight of the Lenovo A7000 is its 'Dolby ATMOS audio technology'. It is the first smartphone to come with this feature. At MWC, Lenovo said "“Users will immediately hear the Dolby Atmos difference using headphones: sounds of people, places, things, and music become more vivid and move from all directions, including overhead, with astonishing clarity, richness and depth.”
It measures 152.6x76.2x7.99mm, weighs 140 grams and is available in Onyx Black and Pearl White color.
At the said price (Rs. 8,999), the Lenovo A7000 will compete with the likes of YU Yureka, Redmi Note 4G and the newly launched Honor 4x.
