TAG Heuer's Android Wear smartwatch to launch this fall for $1400
Luxury watch maker TAG Heuer, last month, announced, it will be launching a luxury smartwatch. No we have details on the pricing, availability and battery life of the smartwatch.
Today Jean-Claude Biver, the CEO of TAG Heuer revealed that the unnamed smartwatch will sell for about $1400 and will be available in October or November. He also added that the smartwatch's battery will last about 40 hours. That's twice as much run time that Apple Watch delivers.
Biver also commented on the Apple Watch "The Apple Watch may get younger consumers more interested in wearing watches for the first time. I hope they sell millions and millions and millions of them. The more they sell the more a few people will want something different and come to TAG Heuer.”
TAG Heuer announced their partnership with Intel and Google, last month to launch a watch with Intel's technology and Google's Android Wear software. The smartwatch will offer fitness tracking features and GPS location capabilities. Other details are scarce for now.
