Lenovo Ideapad 100 is a $250 Windows laptop with essential features

Lenovo at its Tech World event in Beijing also announced the ideapad 100. It is targeted for customers who need only the most essential laptop features.

The Idepad 100 comes in 14-inch and 15-inch models with 1366 x 768 resolution. It is powered by Intel BayTrial-M N3450 processor with Intel graphics. Both models come with up to 8GB RAM and up to 500GB hard drive or 128GB SSD. It runs Windows 8.1 and features a mono 1.5W speaker and 0.3-megapixel single microphone webcam.

The Ideapad 100 (both 14" and 15") houses a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI port and SD card reader. For connectivity there is WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. It is backed by 30 Whr battery which gives up to 4 hours of run time.

The 14-inch Ideapad 100 measures 340 x 237.8 x 20.2 mm and weighs 1.9kg while the 15-inch model measures 378 x 265 x 22.6mm and weighs 2.3kg. It comes in ebony black color only.

Lenovo's 14-inch and 15-inch Ideapad 100 prices start at $249 and will be available on www.lenovo.com and retail stores in June.
