LG G Flex 2 with 5.5-inch curved display now available in India for Rs. 54,990

Last month LG launched the G-Flex 2 smartphone in India. It was initially announced at this year's CES in Las Vegas. The smartphone is now available for purchase in India for Rs. 54,490 and comes in Flamenco Red and Platinum Silver color options. The main highlight of the G Flex 2 is its flexible display, along with a "self-healing" rear cover.

The availability announcement was made at a star-studded event where bollywood stars Anil Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri showcased their directorial debut shot through 4K Ultra HD videos using the LG G Flex 2.

Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor said, "I had a wonderful time using the LG G Flex2. It is a very stylish smartphone with stunning features like the curved display, super-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 64-bit octa-core CPU, Amazing camera and a flaunting design. I had a lot of fun using this smartphone to shoot videos that I have put together in the form of a short film."

The LG G Flex 2 eatures a 5.5-inch full-HD curved P-OLED display with 403ppi pixel density. The display has a 700-mm radius curvature and at the back a 650mm-radius cuvature. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has toughened with the firm's own special chemical treatment technology which LG calls Dura-Gaurd Glass. LG has also improved the 'Self Healing' back, the device will now get healed within 10 seconds.  

The smartphone is powered by 64-bit 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU and paired with 2GB LPDDR4 RAM and 16GB and 32GB storage variants. For storage expansion options there is a microSD card slot present. The smartphone runs Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box.  

Camera features include a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, dual-LED two tone flash and laser guided autofocus. On the front there is a 2.1-megpixel camera for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE-A with tri-band carrier aggregation, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X) 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB 2.0.  

The LG G Flex 2 is fueled by a 3000mAh non removable battery. The device also support quick charging with battery reaching 50% in less than 40 minutes after putting it for charging.
