Sony Xperia C4 with 5-megapixel selfie camera announced


Sony Mobile has announced its latest selfie-focused smartphone called the Xperia C4. It is the successor to the Xperia C3 which was launched last year. The Sony Xperia C3 will be released in single-SIM and dual-SIM versions.

Sony Xperia C4 features 5.5-inch (1920x1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with scratch resistant glass for protection and is powered by Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology. Under the hood there is a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor with Mali 760 MP2 GPU.

The smartphone packs 2GB RAM and comes with 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot that accepts up to 128GB cards. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sony's custom UI on top.


Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Exmor RS sensor On the front it sports a 5-megapixel camera with 25mm wide-angle lens, Exmor R sensor. Both front and rear camera supports 1080p video recording. It comes with a suite of creative camera app like Style Potrait and AR mask.

 On the connectivity front it includes 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. It is fueled by a 2600mAh battery with battery STAMINA mode 5.0. The Xperia C4 is also equipped with Sony's 3D surround sound technology, Clear Audio+, Clear Bass and xLOUD experience.

The device measures 150.3 by 77.4mm and is 7.9mm thick. It weighs 147 grams.

The Sony Xperia C4 and C4 dual will be available in black, white and mint colors and will go on sale inselect markets starting June 2015. There is no word on pricing yet.
