Micromax launches Canvas Knight 2, its first 4G phone for Rs. 16,299
Micromax has announced the launch of Canvas Knight 2 smartphone in India. It sports premium build featuring metal frame with glass back that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Canvas Knight 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, supports 4G LTE connectivity and houses Hybrid Dual SIM slot. The secondary Nano SIM slot can also be used as microSD card slot. There is also a Cirus Logic Wolfson WM8998 Stero DAC chipset for enhanced audio experience.
The Micromax Canvas Knight 2 sports 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood there is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core (quad-core Cortex-A53 1.5GHz + quad-core Cortex-A53 1GHz) processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB.
The Canvas Knight 2 sports a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX214 sensor and LARGAN 5P lens. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front with Omnivision OV5648 and LARGAN 4P lens.
Apart from 4G LTE connectivity, there is also support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2260mAh battery fuels the Canvas Knight 2 that is rated to deliver up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of talk time, and 335 hours of standby time.
Micromax's Canvas Knight 2 is priced at Rs. 16,299 and will go on sale across the country starting June 10.The phone comes bundled with a free Airtel 4G SIM alongside Airtel 4G Double data offer that doubles the amount of 4G data upon activating the 4G SIM.
