Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G gets Rs. 2,000 permanent price cut, now available for Rs. 7,999

Xiaomi launched its first 4G LTE-enabled mobile device Redmi Note 4G in India in December last year. The price was Rs. 9,999 and was a Flipkart exclusive, but later was made available via Amazon, Snapdeal, Airtel stores and The Mobile Store.

Now, Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut of Rs. 2000 on the Redmi Note 4G. Starting today it will be available for Rs. 7,999 via Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Airtel Stores and The Mobile Store.

For those who don't know, the Redmi Note 4G features 5.5-inch HD displya and is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor aided by Adreno 430 GPU and 2GB RAM. On board storage is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash & 5-megapixel front shooter. It supports dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and A-GPS connectivity. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 6 on top and is fueled by 3100mAh battery.

Xiaomi says "lower costs" enabled it to reduce the price of the Redmi Note 4G LTE. The price cut is an attempt to take on other 4G LTE enabled smartphone like Yu Yuphoria, Moto E 4G (2015) and Lenovo A6000 Plus, which retail around the same price.

At this price point (Rs. 7,999) the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G LTE becomes a best buy if your looking for a budget smartphone under Rs. 10,000 with decent performance.
