Arbor Solution's Gladius G1052C is a Windows 10-ready rugged tablet

Arbor Solution has announced a new fully rugged Windows tablet, the Gladius G1052C. The tablet is upgradable to Windows 10, though it supports Windows Embedded 7, Windows 7 Professional, Windows Embedded Standard 8.0, Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro, and Windows 8.1 Professional.

Arbor Solution's Gladius G1052C meets MIL-STD-810G military standards, has IP54 dust and water resistance rating and four-foot drop resistance. It can be operated in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 113°F, meaning it can be operated in harsh environments. The tablet has 23-key physical keypad that includes four programmable function buttons for rapid manual data entry.

Gladius G1052C features 10.4-inch HD (1024 x 768 pixels) TFT active matrix display with sunlight viewable technology and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Inside there is an Intel Quad-core Celeron N2930 processor with Intel HD graphics and 2G RAM (up to 8GB optional). It comes with 32GB MLC mSATA SSD and microSD card slot. There is also a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera, 1D/2D barcode scanner, magnetic stripe reader, RFID/NFC reader and support for WiFi, Bluetooth, WLAN, WWAN and GPS connectivity. It has an hot-swappable external battery pack and 8-hours of battery life. 

The Arbor Solution Gladius G1052C rugged tablet comes in two versions - Standard display model that costs $1,612 and Sunlight readable display model that is priced $1,828. It will be available from authorized reseller in the U.S and Canada.
