Coolpad Dazen Note 3 with fingerprint sensor to launch in India soon with sub-Rs 10,000 price tag
Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad made its Indian entry in May with the launch of Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 handsets. The company sold 10,000 units of Dazen 1 in the country in the first flash sale via its online sales partner Snapdeal. Later, due to fierce competition from Indian and Chinese mobile brands, Coolpad dropped the price of Dazen 1 to Rs. 5,999 from Rs. 6,999.
Now, Coolpad announced that it will be launching its latest mid-range smartphone in India. Dubbed Dazen Note 3, the handset was recently announced in China for CNY 899 (Rs. 9,200). It will be available in India in the coming days and is expected to be priced below Rs. 10,000. The company claims that Coolpad Dazen Note 3 crossed 2.6 million registrations in seven days in China.
Coolpad Dazen Note 3 sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor aided by Mali T720 GPU and 2GB. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and has dual-SIM slot. Camerwise, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5P Lens. on the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter for taking selfies. On the connectivity front it supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and you can unlock the phone under 0.5 seconds.. It comes in black and white colors.
Notably, the Coolpad Dazen Note 3 comes with 2GB RAM, but Varun Sharma, CEO of Coolpad Dazen India says, the company is considering to upgrade the handset to 3GB RAM for India.
Dazen is a sub brand of Qiku, a joint venture between Qihu 360 Technology and Coolpad Group.
