Elephone G7 with octa-core SoC, 13MP camera launched in India for Rs. 8,888


Chinese smartphone manufacturer Elephone has officially made its entry in India with the launch of G7. The G7 sports a slim metal frame and measures just 5.5mm around the waist.

The Elephone G7 features 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution IPS display with OGS (One Glass Solution) and is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor paired with Mali 450 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

For clicking photos there is 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and for clicking selfies and making video calls there is an 8-megapixel front shooter. The camera comes with Panorama and geo-tagging features.

The dual-SIM handset supports 3G, WiFi, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity, unfortunately there is no 4G support. It is fueled by 2050mAh battery which promises to deliver 11 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time. It comes in Black, White and Gold colors.

The Elephone G7 is priced at Rs. 8,888 and will be exclusively available via Snapdeal. It will be facing stiff competition from 4G LTE enabled handsets like Yu Yuphoria, Lenovo K3 Note and Redmi Note 4G. Elephone will also be bringing the G9 and P4000 to India soon.
