Micromax Bolt S301 with 3G support launched for Rs. 2,899


Just a day after launching the entry-level Bolt D303, the company has launched yet another Bolt series smartphone dubbed Bolt S301 with 3G support. It comes preloaded with Quikr, Snapdeal, Scandid apps.

Micromax is selling close to 1.5 million 3G handsets every month and has 25 percent share in the 3G category in India. The Bolt S series are targeted to the first time movers from feature phones (with number-pad and small display) to smartphones.

The Micromax Bolt S301 features 3.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display and is powered by 1GHz single-core processor paired with 512MB RAM. On-board storage is 4GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 16GB. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and has dual-SIM slots.

Camera features include 1.3-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, aGPS and 1200mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 4 hours of talk time, and 240 hours of standby time and comes in Black and White colors.

Micromax Bolt S301 comes in pouch packing and is priced at Rs. 2,899 and will be available via e-commerce and retail stores.
