Motorola Moto G 3rd gen with 4G LTE goes official
Motorola has officially launched the 3rd gen Moto G 2015 in India at an event in Delhi. It features premium design elements such as the metal frame and a vertical strip made out of metal at rear.
The Motorola Moto G features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.2GHzquad-core Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. There is also a 2GB RAM/16GB storage model. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and has dual-SIM slot. Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, IR filter, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Moto G 3rd gen has IPX7 rating for water resistence and can withstand under 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. It also comes with removable back covers and flip covers in different colors, that will be sold separately. It is fueled by 2470mAh battery and comes in black and white flavors. Some of the software features include Moto Display, Quick Capture and Chop twice. Moto Display offers time at a glance when you pick up the phone and notification when you receive them. Chop twice is a new feature that turns on the torch when you make a chopping movement twice with the phone.
The Motorola Moto G 3rd gen is priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 1GB RAM/8GB storage model and Rs. 12,999 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage model. It will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting tonight.
