OnePlus VR Cardboard will be available via Amazon India on July 17

OnePlus is all set to launch its second smartphone OnePlus 2 on July 27 using virtual reality (VR). To witness the launch, the company introduced its virtual reality headset called OnePlus VR Cardboard. For India, the VR headset was priced Rs. 99 (excluding shipping chardges) and was expected to be made available in the third week of July with no exact date specified.

Now, OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus VR Cardboard will be available to buy in the country on July 17  exclusively via its online sales partner Amazon for Rs. 99 plus shipping charges extra.

To recall, OnePlus Cardboard  meets Cardboard 2.0 (Google) features alongside featuring few more improvements. The Cardboard package despite being 20 percent smaller than Google's Cardboard offers the same amazing visual experience. It uses a stronger, thicker material and added high quality velcro for maximum durability, coated with a special film that repels dirt and oil. It is designed to fit the OnePlus One perfectly and is compatible with most devices up to 6-inches in size.

Talking about the OnePlus 2, it features Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, USB Type-C port, finger print scanner, 3300mAh battery. The OnePlus 2 will be smaller that the OnePlus One. It is expected to be priced around $450 (Rs. 28,500).
