Panasonic P55 Novo with octa-core SoC, triple LED flash launched for Rs. 9,290

Panasonic has launched a new selfie-focused smartphone dubbed P55 Novo. It comes with Peel Smart Remote app, which converts the phone into a universal remote, using the integrated  IR LED sensor. Users can control TV, set-top box, AC and other household appliance with the remote. They can also tune-in, set reminders and discover shows with the app.

The phone also has gesture controls which include double tap to lock/unlock device and smart swipe wherein you can use a combination of fingers to preform pre-defined functions.


Panasonic P55 Novo features 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core processor aided by 1GB RAM. Onboard storage is 8GB with up to 32GB storage expansion via microSD card. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and has dual-SIM support.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with Triple LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash for taking high quality selfies in low-light.

Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro-USB port. A 2500mAh battery fuels the P55 Novo. It comes in Champagne Gold, Smoke Grey and Midnight Blue colors.

The Panasonic P55 Novo is priced at Rs. 9,290 and comes bundled with a free flip cover.
