Samsung introduces the Galaxy Folder flip phone running Android
Just a day after LG unveiled a brand new clamshell phone, the LG Gentle, Samsung now has announced a new Android flip phone of its own. Dubbed Samsung Galaxy Folder, it is the successor to 2013 Galaxy Folder, the name remains unchanged. It comes with both a touchscreen and keypad.
Samsung Galaxy Folder sports 3.8-inch touchscreen display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. On-board storage is 8GB, further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. There is no word on its processor and RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front shooter. In terms of connectivity it supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and comes in LTE or 3G models. It is fueled by 1800mAh battery and comes in black and white colors.
The Samsung Galaxy Folder is priced at $250 (Rs. 15,000) and will be available to buy in South Korea in August. It is unlikely to be released outside South Korea.
