Xiaomi teasing a metal product launch for July 16

Xiaomi has sent out a message on Weibo, which described the launch of a mysterious product on July 16. The Chinese company also shared an image with the words PK that is separated by a metallic frame of smartphone. The teaser cleverly hides what product is going to be announced and doesn't give much away.

With the hype of Mi 5 doing the rounds, the launch of Xiaomi's new flagship is possible, but according to rumors, it is expected to come out in November. There is also Mi 5 Plus which recently got TENAA certification. Also in the run is Redmi Note 2 or a new Mi Tablet, Mi TV or Xiaomi Libra that was recently benchmarked.

It's also worth noting that, the Xiaomi Mi 4 was launched in July, so we can expect Xiaomi to reveal the successor on July 16. But well, we are talking about Xiaomi, so you never know what they have up their sleeves.

The rumored specs of Mi 5 inlcude 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection, Snapdragon 810 processor, 16-megapixel rear and 13-megapixel front facing camera and 3000mAh battery. The Mi 5 Plus is rumored to feature 5.7-inch Quad HD display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 13-megapixel rear & 4-megapixel front facing camera and 3500mAh battery.

Until anything is officially announced they are just speculation, we will have to wait till July 16 to find out what Xiaomi has to offer.
