Dell's Chromebook 13 is designed for corporate customers, prices start at $399

Dell and Google has introduced the Chromebook 13 with high end specs at a decent price tag. It is specially designed for corporate customers. Chromebooks have already helped make laptops popular in classrooms but have not made many inroads in offices. With Chromebook 13 Google makes an effort to get more workers off machines powered by Microsoft's dominant Windows software.

Chromebook 13 comes with a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touch solution, is equipped with 5th generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processor with up to 8GB RAM (2GB, 4GB, 8GB) and promises up to 12 hours of battery life. In comes in two storage options- 16GB and 32GB SSD. 

There is a 720p HD video webcam, dual array microphone and stereo speakers. As for ports, there is USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI port and an AC port. It supports 802.11AC Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

The Chromebook 13 features premium chassis materials including a carbon fiber weave cover, magnesium alloy palm rest and aluminum base making it light and sturdy.

The Dell Chromebook 13 starts at USD $399 and will be available beginning September 17 in the U.S. and Canada. The pricing depends on the choice of processor or RAM you choose, the higher price being $899.
