TENAA certifies Huawei ATH-AL00, features sliding camera module

A new Huawei smartphone carrying the model number ATH-AL00 has been certified by Chinese regulatory agency TENAA. The main highlight of the handset is it unique sliding camera module for the front camera unit.

Users can slide the rear camera unit up and that will reveal the front camera that has a dual-LED flash. The objective here is to reduce the size of top bezel on the front. To unlock the camera, there is a large button located on one side of the phone, which could potentially be used as a fingerpring scanner. There is also a dedicated camera button. This could be a camera-centric smartphone.

Unfortunately, TENAA did not list the specs of the device, but it is being reported that the ATH-AL00 will be powered by Huawei's home grown Kirin Chipset and pack 3GB or 4GB RAM. There is also going to be another variant of the phone with model number ATH-AL00H with 3GB RAM & 16GB storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone will also have dual-SIM slot and support 4G LTE connectivity.
