Asus ZenFone 2 with 4GB RAM, 16GB storage launched in the U.S for $229

Asus has created a lot of confusion as there are multiple variants of ZenFone 2 with different specs. The Taiwanese company has already launched multiple versions of ZenFone 2 in India as well as some other select markets. In the U.S Asus offered two models 2GB RAM w/ 16GB storage for $199 and 4G RAM w/ 64GB storage for $299.

Now, Asus has launched a new variant of the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML in the U.S with new configuration. What's new? The base model of ZenFone 2 ZE551ML comes with 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 SoC, 16GB inbuilt-storage and 2GB RAM.

The new ZenFone 2 comes with the same configuration but has 4GB RAM. It features 5.5-inch 1080p (Full HD) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Camerawise, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front shooter. The dual-SIM device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with ZenUI and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth  4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery.

The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551MLwith 4GB RAM is priced at $229 (Rs. 15,000) and is available to buy in the U.S via Amazon, B&H Photo and NewEgg. At the said price ZenFone 2 becomes one of the most affordable device with 4GB RAM.
