HiSense unveils Magic Mirror tablet with thin bezels
This year at IFA, Chinese electronic manufacturer HiSense unveiled the Magic Mirror tablet, which features a record-breaking screen-to-body ratio and sports a very minimal bezel. The display area of the HiSense Magic Mirror occupies 90% of the tablets's front surface, making it the first device of its kind in the world.
The tablet measures 199 x 121 x 7.1mm, weighs 280 grams, and is entirely made out of metal and is very thin, but the highlight of the tablet is its borderless screen with the top border display having a thickness of just 2.7 mm.
The HiSense Magic Mirror features an 8.5-inch display with laminated panel which comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, offering a pixel density of 360ppi. The tablet is powered by a Rockchip RK3288 processor paired with 2GB RAM and comes in two storage options- 16GB and 32GB. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with customized UI on top. It also comes with Dolby Audio for an improved sound experience. It is fueled by 4580mAh battery.
Hisense Magic Mirror tablet will initially be available in the Chinese market via JingDong mall at a price of 1,799 Yuan ($283) for the 16GB model.
