Lava Pixel V2 with 13MP camera launched for Rs. 10,750
Lava launched the Pixel V2, a refreshed variant of the Pixel V1 that was launched back in July under Google's Android One initiative, however, Pixel V2 is not officially affiliated to the initiative. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and supports 4G LTE with support for TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India.
Lava Pixel V2 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection and Oleophobic coating and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.
For imaging there is 13-megapixel camera at the back with dual-LED flash, 5P Largan lens, f/2.0 aperture and Blue Glass filter. On the front sits a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, f/2.4 aperture, 4P lens and 84-degrees wide-angle lens. Besides 4G LTE, the Pixel V2 supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity A 2500mAh keeps the phone running.
Priced at Rs. 10,750, the Lava Pixel V2 comes in Royal Sparkle black and Icy White colors. The phone will be available from September 15 via online retailers. There is also a Prism Blue color variant that will be available in October.
