Lenovo Vibe P1 w/ 5000mAh battery, Vibe P1m w/ 4000mAh battery announced
Lenovo along with the selfie-centric Vibe S1, also announced the Vibe P1 and P1m at IFA 2015, Berlin. The main highlight of both the devices are its long lasting batteries and smart power saving tools.
The Vibe P1 and P1m features a manual power saver switch to extend batter life and has an unique OTG chargung function to charge other USB-connected devices, such as Bluetooth headsets and portable speakers. The Vibe P1 comes with 5000mAh battery and offers up to 81 hours of battery life or more than three days on a single charge with normal usage. The Vibe P1m is fueled by 4000mAh battery. Both phones support Quick Charge function that rapidly charges phone battery.
Lenovo Vibe P1 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. For imaging, there is 13-megapixel rear camera with fast-focus PDAF technology and a 5MP selfie camera. The phone supports 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. Lenovo has wrapped the phone in a metal-and-glass chasis and also included a fingerprint sensor. It weighs 189 grams.
The Lenovo Vibe P1m is the smaller of the pack, with a 5-inch HD display. Inside there is a quad-core MediaTek MT6735P 64-bit processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage (up to32GB). It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. For imaging there is an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front shooter for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The phone is splash-proof via a nano-coating technology
The Lenovo Vibe P1 is priced $279 and will be available starting early October in Platinum, Graphite Grey and Gold colors. The Vibe P1m cost $159, comes in Onyx Black and Pearl White and will hit the stores sometime in September.
