Motorola no more Flipkart exclusive, expands sales to Snapdeal, Amazon, and offline retail stores
Last month ET reported that Motorola is planning to sell their smartphones through offline retail stores. Now the company has advanced with the move.
The Moto E 2nd gen is not Flipkart exclusive anymore. Motorola announced that the Moto E 2nd gen will be available for purchase from Amazon.in, Snapdeal, Reliance Retail, Airtel Stores and other participating offline retailers. Motorola has appointed Brightstar as its distribution partner to tap into large retail stores in the country.
The Moto E 4G LTE edition will be available for purchase in select Airtel stores across the country, while on Snapdeal and Amazon India, both 3G and 4G enabled models of Moto E will be made available. The Moto E 3G version is priced at Rs. 5,999 and the 4G version costs 6,999.
Motorola resurrected itself in the Indian market in February last year and pioneered the online-only sales model in the country via its online sales partner Flipkart.
Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola Mobility India said, "Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms. To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences."
