Samsung Galaxy J2 with 4.7-inch display, 4G LTE launched in India for Rs. 8,490


Samsung has launched the Galaxy J2, a new entry-level 4G phone for the Indian market. The phone has been developed in Samsung's India R&D facility. It sports metallic finish on the sides and has faux leather back.

The Galaxy J2 comes with an Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera Max, that allows you to block indiviual apps from using mobile data and save data by enabling data optimization. Ultra Data Saving mode offers up to 50% savings in data across all the content and most apps and frees up to 11% RAM.

For specificiation, Samsung Galaxy J2 features 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor further aided by 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, has dual-SIM slot (micro) and supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity. There is also a Download Booster feature that combine 4G and Wi-Fi.


 For imaging, there is 5-megapixel auto focus main camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and is capable of shooting 720p videos. On the front sits a 2-megapixel camera for clicking selfies. It is fueled by 2000mAh battery and comes in Black, White and Gold colors.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 is priced at Rs. 8,490. It will be available to buy from September 21 across all the channels in India.
