HP Spectre x2 2-in-1 tablet announced
HP introduced its latest notebook-tablet hybrid- the Spectre x2, which resembles the Surface Pro 2 visually. It features an aluminum body, stainless steel kickstand, 12-inch full HD display, 6th-gen Intel Core M CPU, and full-sized keyboard dock with trackpad.
Spectre x2 comes with up to 8GB RAM and for storage it comes with choice of 128GB, 256GB or 512GB SSD. It is equipped with 5-megapixel front facing camera and on the back is an 8-megapixel camera and Intel RealSense camera to capture and enable 3D experience. There are two speaker on the tablet and two on the keyboard, Audio is tuned by Bang & Olufsen. The touchscreen display is optimized to be used with an active stylus for writing and drawing.
The 2-in-1 tablet also includes two USB Type-C connector, both with the capability to charge, power and connect to a display, transfer data and support HP Sleep and Charge. Incase you still want to use USB Type-A, HP is including USB Type-C to USB Type-A adapter in the box. For wireless connectivity there is 4G LTE support, WiFi and Bluetooth. It offers up to 10 hours of battery life.
The device measures just over half an inch thick and weighs about 1.85 pounds with just the tablet, but increases to 2.69 pounds with the keyboard. The Keyboard easily detaches and attaches with a magnetic connector to transform the tablet to a notebook. The staineless steel U-shaped kickstand has a friction hinge which can be positioned way back to 150 degrees, for drawing, taking notes or watching movie.
HP Spectre x2 prices start at $799.99 and will be available in the U.S Hp.com and Best Buy Starting November 8.
