Huawei Honor Play 5X with 5.5-inch 1080p display, fingerprint sensor announced
Huawei has launched the Honor Play 5X in China. The metal clad smartphone features 'Fingerprint 2.0' tech, which is said to unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds. The sensor is placed on the rear panel below the camera.
The Huawei Honor Play 5X features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is equipped with 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 (four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.7GHz + four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.2GHz) 64-bit processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB or 3GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 on top and has Dual SIM slots.
For imaging, it is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens, 5P lens, and Blue Glass IR filter. On the sits a 5-megapixel camera with with f/2.2 aperture, a 22mm wide-angle, 4P Lens, and a Blue Glass filter as well.
Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAH battery. which delivers up to 1.46 days of regular usage time and up to 1.01 days of heavy usage time. It supports Quick Charge 3.0, which can charge up to 50 percent battery in 30 minutes. It also boasts Box speakers with Smart PA audio chipset
The device measures 151.3 x 76.3 x 8.15mm, weighs 158g and comes in Silver and Sunset Gold colors.
The Huawei Honor Play 5X 3GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 1399 ($220 | Rs. 14,500), the 2GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 999 ($160 | Rs. 10,000). It is now available for order in China and ships from November 3.
