Infocus Kangaroo, a pocket-sized PC for $99
InFocus, an American electronic company has announced a new portable desktop PC running Windows 10 called Kangaroo.
With just 124mm length, 80.5mm width and 12.9mm thickness, the Kangaroo is the world's smallest portable PC and is roughly the size of a smartphone, so you can slide it into a pocket. It weighs just 200g.
The InFocus Kangaroo is equipped with quad-core Intel Cherrytrail Atom x5-Z8500 processor clocked at 1.44GHz with a Burst frequency of 2.24GHz. It packs 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and has 32GB eMMC storage, further expandable via microSDXC card reader up to 128GB.
It comes with a removable base unit, which houses an HDMI port, USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 port and a DC power port. For wireless connectivity there is WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. It also features Windows Hello fingerprint sensor.
The battery inside the Kangaroo keeps it running for four hours under 'casual use' and it has a micro-USB port for charging.
The InFocus Kangaroo is priced at $99 (Rs. 6,500) and is now available for purchase from online retailer Newegg in the United States. It will be available at Microsoft store starting mid-November.
